Maisha Concept was launched to create awareness of various cultures and traditions across the globe through textiles and fashion. Maisha means “giving life” in Swahili and through Maisha’s contemporary designs; we aim to resurrect the culture, heritage and skill of local artisans and textile manufacturers across the globe.
In every collection we use the traditional craft of block printing to create our signature Maisha textiles. By supporting local talents, new jobs are created, partnerships are made and opportunities are turned into reality and quality of life is improved. Behind every collection is a story, a unique journey and a rich heritage. Discover our world and meet the people that make our brand what it is.
In the light of the pandemic, it’s important that we take a step back and immerse ourselves in gratitude for what we have. Sharing what I’ve been so thankful for in this blog post.
We sat down with Faz Gaffa-Marsh recently to talk about The Sari Edit and the great woman who inspired it: my late mother and her gorgeous saris. Read the interview here.
